The Fund Flows Dashboard measures daily subscriptions and redemptions across EUR, USD and GBP credit funds, fund by fund, from published AUM and NAV. It separates real money movements from price effects, ranks the funds behind each move, and charts the result against cash spreads. It runs natively in Bloomberg BQuant: one screen, one press of Get Data, and the full picture loads.
The dashboard builds its fund universes directly from Bloomberg, filtered down to genuinely comparable populations: EUR, USD or GBP share classes, fixed-income focus, with active funds and ETFs tracked as separate populations throughout.
Investment grade and high yield are screened independently, and IG can be split by duration: a credit bucket and a short-duration bucket, so money-market-adjacent flows never contaminate the credit read.
A dedicated ESG lens restricts the universe to SFDR Article 8 or Article 9 funds, or to green bond funds specifically, letting you track sustainable credit demand as its own flow series.
For each fund, the daily flow is computed from published AUM and NAV so that the price effect is removed: a rally never masquerades as a subscription, and a sell-off never fakes a redemption. What remains is real money entering or leaving the fund.
The calculation is deliberately strict. A flow exists only when AUM and NAV are published on two consecutive business days; missing data stays missing rather than being filled forward or set to zero, so gaps can never fabricate a flow.
On top of that, a quality layer catches the classic data traps: back-to-back prints that cancel each other (a reporting error, not a flow) and implausibly extreme observations are both neutralised, and every single observation carries an auditable status explaining how it was treated.
Valid fund-level flows aggregate into daily, weekly, monthly and yearly series, always split three ways: active funds, ETFs and total. Each chart carries the number of eligible funds behind it, so you always know how broad the sample is.
On every horizon, flows are plotted against the option-adjusted spread of the matching cash bond index for that currency and rating: the demand picture and the price picture, on one chart. Alongside the flow series, the dashboard tracks eligible AUM, its distribution across the fund population, and flows expressed as a percentage of AUM.
Breadth is measured too: for every period the dashboard reports how many funds contributed and what share of them saw net inflows, so a headline number driven by one fund never reads like a market-wide move.
Cumulative views stack active funds and ETFs into a running total, showing at a glance how much money has entered the asset class since your chosen start date, and which vehicle type is carrying it.
A dedicated seasonality view aligns each calendar year on the same day-of-year axis: the current year is drawn live against the full paths of previous years, so you can immediately tell whether this year's demand is running ahead of, or behind, the historical pattern.
Both views inherit the strict methodology upstream: what cumulates is only validated flows, never gap-fills or data errors, so the year-to-date line means exactly what it says.
Aggregate flows tell you the direction; the rankings tell you who. For the latest day, the last five business days and year-to-date, the dashboard ranks the top 10 inflows and top 10 outflows, split by investment grade and high yield, active funds and ETFs.
Each ranking shows the fund's ticker, name, current AUM and net flow, heat-mapped by magnitude, with the number of contributing funds and their total displayed above every table. A compact summary crosses the same window by segment and vehicle, so the net picture reads in one glance before you drill into names.
The as-of date is chosen carefully: if Bloomberg already contains a partial current day, the dashboard steps back to the last complete one, so a half-reported session never distorts the daily read.

Most flow figures are only as good as the data hygiene behind them. Here, the hygiene is the product.
A missing NAV stays missing. Flows exist only between consecutive published observations, so a data gap can never manufacture a subscription or a redemption.
Large back-to-back prints that nearly cancel are a reporting artefact, not a flow. The dashboard detects these pairs within each fund and neutralises both legs.
Valid, excluded or neutralised: each fund-day carries a status. Aggregates are fully traceable back to the observations that built them.
Percentages and AUM references use the funds that actually contributed each day, not a static universe size, so breadth measures stay meaningful.
Runs inside Bloomberg BQuant platform. Fund data never leaves the terminal: zero infrastructure, zero vendor data feeds, zero compliance friction.
No request fires until you press Get Data. Every parameter of the run is visible on screen, and each stage of the load reports its progress as it completes.
A live walkthrough runs on the currencies and segments your desk follows every day, and covers how the flow series can feed your own market views.
